About the Cox Decompression Technique

The Cox Technique is a gentle, non-force adjustment.  Unlike surgery, the technique is a conservative and non-invasive form of treatment, which can drastically reduce the ill effects, risks and high costs of surgery.  The technique is applied using a specially crafted, treatment table which allows for a wide range of decompressive movements. The doctor is at all times in control of the table.

Dr. White is the only chiropractor in Indian River County and one of only a few chiropractors in Florida that is Actively Certified* in the Cox Flexion-Distraction technique for both the Cervical (neck) and Lumbar (lower back) spine. He has successfully treated countless patients that have presented with complicated neck and lower back pain with pain or altered sensations radiating down into the arms and legs. Many of these people have had spinal stenosis (narrowing) due to severe arthritis or extensive disc protrusions, herniations, or bulges.

Treatable Conditions:

  • Disk Bulges/Herniations
  • Neck and Back Pain
  • Degenerated Disks
  • Arm, Hip and Leg Pain
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Spondylolisthesis
  • Headaches
  • Patients unable to tolerate vigorous chiropractic adjustments

The “Certified” designation regarding the Cox technique is not currently recognized by the Florida Board of Chiropractic Medicine.
However, it is recognized at most accredited Chiropractic Colleges nationally and internationally.
